FAQ 005 - How the offset for landing zone can be set?

The reference altitude (which will be used for landing) is set with the altitude point where UAV is powered on (not GCS or Take-off reference).

If landing altitude differs from the reference altitude, (for instance when the landing point is far from the UAV power on point), the height between landing point and UAV power on point can be set either :

  • manually by the operator
    OR
  • automatically based on a digital elevation model (DEM).

WARNING : The applied height offset must be accurate (within 5 m from reality). Any inaccurate offset manually entered might cause a failed landing.

There is no maximum offset .

In case of doubt, please choose an alternate landing zone, with little or nil offset.
